Suit-Friendly Poetry Event
Hello there, As maybe one or two of you know, in addition to being a furry, I'm a modestly successful performance poet. On Monday, 9/28, I'll be performing in Vancouver at Cafe Deux Soleils at 2096 Commercial Drive at ~8pm. The reason this is worth mentioning here is that there's a piece I'm known for performing in footie PJs and bunny ears, and the guy who runs the reading-- ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=92.2) monkeypudding (who is not actually a fur, but is very fur aware and fur friendly)-- in anticipation of my performing that piece will be hosting in a gorilla suit, and advertising the event as "animal costumes welcome and encouraged"... so if anyone reading this wanted to come out for that in whatever attire you deem appropriate up to and including full suit, I think that'd be terrific. | | Monday, August 24th, 2009 | 7:22 pm

A point of interest...
Rino (Ravkamon) and I seem to no longer be on speaking terms. He has also declared his intention to message the log of our last conversation to people, and has stated that he has "reported" me. (Though to whom he did not specify.) I also have my own log of the conversation, but I do not feel the need to provide it publicly unless and until Rino does so first. Should he choose to discuss this matter with others, I make myself available to share the other side of the story and the log (sanitized of personal identifying information), if desired. Please note that, due to my refusal to join the bcfurries.ca forums, I will not be able to share details through that venue, though I do not mind if somebody wishes to contact me, gather information, and then post back to bcfurries on my behalf. I really have no interest in stirring up drama on this, so that's all I'm going to say for now. Check in on noisy situations? If you have a warm, friendly personality and would like to help keep Rainfurrest a warm and friendly place, come join our service/safety teams. Safety officers will be cross-trained in operations duties for overnight operations. European fur visiting
Hi Vancouver fuzzballs, It's Ethan Staghorn the European deer again. Some of you may remember my brief Vancouver visit two years ago. This Wednesday (Aug 19) I'm coming back for more! :) My plan is to stay in Vancouver until Aug 27 or so, before heading down to the Burning Man festival in the US. Are there any Vancouver furmeets or other events during this time? Otherwise perhaps we could arrange one? I'd love to meet some furries while I'm in town! I might bring my fursuit Jake with me—I haven't decided yet. Know of any "suitable" events? (Ha ha :) Anyways, leave a comment or Gmail me if you want to get in touch! Fresh meat
I posted at vfur on yahoo groups, but since I'm more of an lj whore- here I am! I guess I'll say here what I said there Neo the closet fur. Hell yes. I actually live in Coquitlam. Yes, that's cheating, but it's not like there's anything else fur related in the dinky area of Coquitlam. I've been more on the fringe of the furry fandom, never really had the guts to poke my head in until now. \o/ Go me. Yay guts. I'm 110% artistic. I live, sleep, breath and eat art. I heard Torwin wouldn't be available to organize Fursuit Bowling so I called Revs ahead to check if it was alright if we come. So Friday evening, 9:00 at Revs in Burnaby, near Holdom Station. Who's going to Anthrocon?
Hello everyfur, I'm Ethan Staghorn, a European furry fan who did exchange studies at UBC way back in 2000–2001. I also visited your fine city again in 2007, and got to see a few of you furries at a meet then. This year, I will be attending Anthrocon as my first furry con. I'm always interested in getting to know new furry faces, particularly from Vancouver, so let me know if you're going (comment, PM, or e-mail) and maybe we can meet up! :) I'm also going to swing by Vancouver in August, but I'll post more on that in due time after AC.
